Scheduled Hatch Dates for Jersey Giant Chicks

Interested in Jersey Giant chicks? I will try to maintain a schedule of our expected hatches. This is no guarantee of availability as some hatches may be booked already, although we DO set extra chicks and can typically acommodate most reasonable orders.

Upcoming Hatches:

April 28 hatch for Monday 4-28, Tuesday 4-29 or Wednesday 4-30 shipment via USPS Express Mail (overnight) ONLY. Some areas it may take 2 days for delivery of Express Mail packages.


I can ship as few as 10 (plus extras) or as many as 20 (plus extras) at one time to one customer. I am NOT a hatchery and do not set multitudes of eggs unless I have orders for chicks or I am setting to raise a brood of chicks myself. I can and will do custom-hatching of our own eggs per customer request, but I do not have chicks available continuosly. We typically shut the incubator down in the heat of the summer (July, August, September) and chicks will most likely not be available at that time as it is too hot to run the incubator as well as brooder lights.

I can, will and do ship chicks throughout the winter months, safely as long as the Post Office will permit me to do so. I have learned how to package them safely with heat packs that keep them cozy, and larger numbers of chicks (20) must be shipped at once so the babies can keep one another warm.

GUARANTEE: I will guarantee the number of chicks that you order will arrive safely (I include at least 10% extras to help reduce the chance of me needing to replace chicks) AND guarantee the babies for the first 24 hours. After 24 hours, the risk of problems due to shipping stress is usually gone. We want you to end up with the number of chicks you ordered. If you order 20 chicks, we ship you a total of 22 chicks and three arrive dead, we would refund you for 1 chick at $6 refund price.

EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE: You must not place your chicks on cedar chips as flooring or on newspaper - both can be deadly poisonous and I cannot be held responsible, I ask that you please take pictures of any chicks that you would like credit for and PLEASE notify me IMMEDIATELY if you have had any problems with your order.

NOTE: I haven't yet had to replace ANY Blue Jersey Giant chicks nor refund any money, although we have successfully shipped these babies in below zero weather with safe heat packs to keep them cozy!!

Orders MUST be paid for before the scheduled ship date! I will gladly accept personal checks, money orders, or PayPal (PayPal orders add 4% or $8). Please email or call for availability of chicks and to place an order.
